The review brings together 221 publications, covering experimental research, clinical studies and population-level evidence. It examines cardiovascular toxicant exposure, biomarkers of potential harm, atherosclerosis-related mechanisms, and evidence surrounding e-cigarettes, heated tobacco products and nicotine pouches.
The Global Forum on Nicotine (GFN) has taken place every year since 2014 and is the only international conference to focus on how vapes, nicotine pouches, Swedish snus and heated tobacco can help people switch away from smoking.
